answers 0:Does anyone with Fibro have dental problems? My teeth are EXTREMELY sensitive to hot and cold. Having dental work such as cleanings or fillings only magnifies it. Its so bad to the point of where I burst in to tears sometimes when I drink room temperature or lukewarm water. They are also sensitive to pressure, and I can't eat hard foods like almonds or tortilla chips.answers 1:People who have Fibro have a range of problems and everyone is different! For me, what teeth I do have left (I was extremely prone to having cavities, and that led to losing teeth) are very sensitive. I never really thought of it before as being associated with Fibro, but I suppose it could be. Heck, when I have dental work done, I usually have the dentist give me nitros oxide (laughing gas) so I'll be extremely relaxed when he works on me. At le! ast that helps a little bit. ;-)If you'd like to compare other fibro symptoms, e-mail me. I've lived with it for over 30 years now!...answers 2:When I saw your question my first thought was, "Sure, everything else seems to hurt so why not teeth, too!"The thing with Fibro is that the pain messages aren't coming across right. I don't know if it that they aren't picking them up right or aren't sending them right or what but your pain center seems to be in your teeth.Have you tried the toothpastes for sensitive teeth? They help other people who might or might not be having their problems because of Fibro so they might help you, too...*HUG* I know how frustrating this is, myself, but if you can, look on the bright side of this... at least it keeps you from eating the foods that carry MSGs!...
