Have Walmart and Craigslist destroyed some small businesses?

Piedad Bassiti: Maybe... but wall-mart keep the inflation rates very low since 10 years...

Raelene Cunnick: For sure. Especially those Mom n Pop shops.

Foster Koopmann: I would assume yes, but we would all miss the saving that they provide us from their mass buying powers.

Armando Somes: Yes and people are yet to really realize it

Shelley Stevens: My brother's friend's dad (yes long connection) owns a card company, it's small, but Hallmark payed Walmart to not let his small card company in their stock. So, I'd say yes.

Lillie Yarde: yes, small businesses just can't compete

Judie Kise: Hell yea

Loriann Carrigan: most likely

Antonia Quinnett: Yes!

Kenneth Queener: I'm not sure how Craigslist falls into the same category as Walmart.Ian Drakehttp://www.notifywire.com

Lita Thammorongsa: They've destroyed K-Mart.

Rodrigo Pezley: I know ALOT of people who boycott Walmart, and there's no way that Walmart sells ever! y product out there. I don't think Walmart has destroyed small business, at least not in large cities. I can't speak for small towns, because I'm sure there's some problems there.Craigslist is consumer-based, and I doubt that there is so much business going on there that it would drive a small business out of business completely, unless the prices were very high....Show more

Caroyln Ebach: obviously

Bob Pucella: Yes, and most the things they sell on craigs list is like 1/2 off and will be the same use and worn out when you buy it new anyway

Norma Marsalis: Wal-Mart is taking over the world

Sammie Bocanegra: not craigslist, walmart for sure. but hey it's all about saving money sometimes. mom and pop stores have the charm but are more $$
